Meet Dr Davis

Dr Paul Davis graduated with a medical degree from the university of QLD in 1995. Paul trained in rural general practice and anaesthetics and holds fellowships of both the Royal Australian College of general practitioners and the Australian College of rural general practice.

During Paul’s time as a GP anaesthetist and senior medical officer in rural Queensland he performed many general anaesthetics for patients undergoing stripping and ligation procedures for varicose veins.

“In rural hospitals you are the GP, the anaesthetist and carer for patients during their hospital admission time. Caring for patients in the days and weeks after surgical varicose vein procedures such as ligation and stripping was the catalyst for me to begin looking for less invasive, less debilitating, less painful and more effective treatments for varicose veins”

In 2006 Dr Davis was awarded the gold medal for sclerotherapy.

Following his ambition to create a uniquely focussed centre of excellence in the treatment of leg veins, Paul established The Varicose Vein Clinic in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
